From now on graduates from OSAO will receive their degree certificate in an electronic format.
The electronic degree certificate is reliable, data-secure, and ecological. In addition, the electric degree certificate is easy to attach as a file to a job application or a study place application. The electronic degree certificate is already used in several educational institutions.
The electronic degree certificate includes the completed vocational upper secondary qualification(s) and vocational qualification unit(s).
– The electronic degree certificate increases the reliability of the certificate. Furthermore, it quickens the process of receiving the certificate and keeping it safe, says Raija Näppä, Vice Principal of OSAO.
The degree certificate can be sent to official authorities or as an attachment in a job application as it is. This is possible because an electronic degree certificate does not require a separate notarization of a copy of a document. An official authority or an employer can check the authenticity and immutability of the degree certificate in the Visma Sign service.
Delivery of the electronic degree certificate
The electronic degree certificate is sent to the student as an encrypted e-mail message immediately after graduation.
The degree certificate can be printed, but the document is official only in its electronic form.
In addition to the electronic degree certificate the graduate receives a printed copy of the document. Please note that the printed copy is not an official degree certificate. The printed copy is handed out in OSAO’s cardboard file, which can be displayed in graduation photos and at the graduation party.
